Dinosaurs & Dung Beetles

We had a very special visit with Grandmom and Grandpop. They took us to the Natural History Museum in DE. There was so much to see and do. The kids had a great time checking out all the exhibits.

The full interactive "tree house" with animal sounds, animal tracks and all sort of animal homes and even animal sounds.
Emerson - nose to nose with a dinosaur!
Playing with the tree house
( I so want to make one of these!)
Checking out the "underwater" exhibit
(...yes- my kids are laying on the floor!)
They were so amazed at the size of this clam shell they all had to "try" it on! Pretty amazing

now that is SOME dung
Look what the dinosaur ate
Looking at the gardens outside
YEAH! What a fun day!

Crafting with Cousins... and some swimming too

We went to our cousins house and we had so much fun! I brought a craft for everyone to do (except the boys were not interested). The girls went crazy and spent hours making bottle cap necklaces. We made a big mess!
The boys spent their time swimming and having a blast in the water.

Works in progress
Some of the finished pieces waiting for string
(I am not sure why, but I did not take any finished photos!- They were all so cute and creative)

Here are some photo's of the girls working......

Crayola Factory

Oma and Opa decided to take us to the Crayola Factory and we had a blast! There was so much to do (and my kids are so creative) that we could have spent forever there.
(couldn't resist taking this one w/ the #3)

3 to Go!

Because the big guys were at scout camp in PA I decided to stay and visit with the 3 little guys. I have to admit that it feels very strange when I am not with all the kids, but we were excited to get some relaxed visit time in and some special attention.
First we got to visit with Oma and Opa. After dropping off the boys at camp Opa, daddy and Toren all went fishing. The rest of us started with a playground tour......

it was cool checking out other playgrounds...and a lot of FUN!

Then we got in some play time with our Goering cousins...
